Coughlan Companies is looking for a full-time Payroll/Benefits Administrator to join team in the North Mankato office.

The Payroll/Benefits Administrator will be responsible for processing a bi-weekly payroll and for administration of all benefits in a timely manner. This position will obtain information for payroll production and tax related issues, assists with bonus process, HIPPA Compliance, and responds to/resolves employee questions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data to produce an accurate bi-weekly payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
2. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management.
3. Compile payroll data such as garnishments, salary adjustments, vacation time, insurance, YMCA, United Way and 401(k) deductions.
4. Maintains affirmative action plan as well as filing the EEO-1 Survey on an annual basis. Report out of results to leaders as needed.
5. Responsible for developing sales plans for all sales commissioned roles in the company and processing payments through the payroll system.
6. Assists with onboarding activities including monthly orientation programs, and first day scheduling.
7. Performs various journal entries and account reconciliations.
8. Orientate new employees on payroll and benefit information.
9. Enroll new employees into health, dental, life, 401(k), and select account plans.
10. Administers workers compensation process, forwards information on to insurance company, and ensures accurate file retention.
11. HIPPA Compliance Officer

An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college in accounting or 5 years of payroll or accounting experience or equivalent required. Three or more years of payroll experience preferred.

• Analyzing and interpreting data and prepare sound recommendation
• Strong statistical computations and detail with financial data
